The popularity of mixed martial arts started from UFC.  I remember I used to watch this game way back when we still have our cable TV.  We see UFC today as a more sports like boxing than it was like Van Damme’s Bloodsport a few years ago.  As you can see from the infographics below, the popularity is spreading worldwide and people really enjoyed watching  the real action of this game.

Whenever I see a game like this, it reminds me of the movie Ong Bak where I see Muay Thai which is the king when it comes to fighting sports in Thailand and just like mixed martial arts, it  grows rapidly in popularity elsewhere as this sport combines  the elements of Muay Thai alongside wrestling and grappling techniques. The rapid growth of  this game has been a triumph of marketing which was driven by the success of one promotion and this is where the Ultimate Fighting Championships  or UFC takes place. It was formed in the US it has expanded to put on shows all over the world which consistently sell out capacity stadiums and are bought by hundreds of thousands of people on pay per view.

We just had a chat conversation with my mom and we talked about all those Balikbayan boxes that she wanted to send this month. She will send 4 boxes because she want to get rid of all those things and stuffs from their house. Its still usable and we need these things for our new house too. She has lots of things that she wanted to send such as housewares, decorations, curtains, some personal items, stuff toys and even computer and video games.

My mom has a slightly used PSP game and she wanted to give it to my hubby. I did not told my hubby about it yet because we wanted to surprise him when this package will arrive soon. I’m sure he gonna love it since he’s been longing to own this portable game. He would surely buy a new psp games for this and will definitely check out the latest  and new releases for the Sony Playstation Portable gaming console.

My hubby is such an avid multi player video gamer, I know he is already familiar with ventrilo on MMORPG games. And if you guys have not heard of it, you are actually missing out its powerful technology,why? because it lets you concentrate on your game while maintaining that instant and hands free communication between the players in your guild.

Using ventrilo increases the competitiveness of video gaming by allowing your group to hear everything that is happening. It is customizable and very easy to learn to use even guild members who are not technically savvy can easily use it. It is also very easy to use so players can learn to communicate even if they are not highly skilled at the game.

Though I’m not a gaming fanatic but Ive seen and noticed that its becoming a common add-on in many internet chat rooms and the user can either use text or voice communication based on their personal preference. It’s a good thing to know that since ventrilo was developed, the world of gaming and chatting has never be the same. It has definitely changed the multiple player video game industry and its beginning to grow in popularity in other areas as well.
